Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu.
As
you land at Tribhuvan International airport, finish your custom
formalities (visa, etc.) and get to the airport waiting terminal, you
will find our representative waiting to greet you. He/she will be
holding Icicles Adventure Treks and Tour signboard and your name. You
will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private
vehicle. Overnight in hotel Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Trek preparation and Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour.
After
breakfast we start a guided tour of several historical andspiritual
sites in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites
including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of
Pashupati Nath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists
shrine (BouddhaNath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world.
Later after sightseeing program, we will introduce you with your
trekking guide and have a small pre-trip meeting. You are advised to
pack your things and be set up for your actual adventure that will begin

Day 03: Kathmandu Lukla - Phakding (2652m) 3 Hrs.
Wake
up at dawn and be ready for the adventure. We will usher you to
domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for an early morning flight.
After an adventurous 40 minute flight above the array of beautiful green
and white mountains, we arrive at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla
(2,800m/9,186ft), an entry town from where your trek begins. This is one
of the most beautiful air routes in the world concluding in a dramatic
landing site on a hillside surrounded by high mountains peaks. In Lukla,
we meet our additional crew members and do some packing and
arrangements, we start our trek through the prosperous village of Lukla,
descend to Chaurikharka, head up the Dudhkoshi valley until we reach
Phakding. As we just land at the altitude of almost 3000m today, to
assist in acclimatization, we only have a short walk today. Yet, if you
are interested in additional activities you can take a side trip to a
nearby monastery Overnight at Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazar (3440m) 6 Hrs.
We
start our walk soon after breakfast. Today’s trek is exciting not only
due to few uphill and downhill walks but also because of crossing and
re-crossings of Dudh Koshi River and magnificent view of Mt. Thamserku
(6,608m/21,675ft) from the Benkar village. We cross more bridges and
reach Monjo. We get our trekking permits checked at the entrance of
Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo. We tumble down and a gradual walk
brings us to Jorsale, the last village until Namche Bazaar. The walk is
enjoyable through the river bed and we reach Hillary Suspension Bridge.
As we climb up towards Namche Bazzar, magnificent sight of Kwangde Peak,
Kusum peak, Kangaru peak, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Tawache, and many other
magnificent mountains greet us. We break at the Chautara to admire the
view. Finally, we reach the colorful village of Namche Bazzar, the main

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche bazaar – Hike to Everest view hotel (3900m) 3-4 Hrs.
In
order to assist acclimatization today is a rest day at Namche Bazzar,
which is an ideal place to spend a rest day to acclimatize to the new
altitude before heading off towards higher elevation. It is recommend
staying active and mobile during the acclimatization day instead of
resting in your lodge. If you trek a few hundred vertical feet during
the day, it will help you to properly acclimatize. You can either spend
the day exploring Namche Bazzar or taking a hike to Thame or Khunde.
Tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu,
Namche Bazzar is centre of Everest region and has plenty of lodges, tea
shops, souvenir shops, money exchangers, government offices, ATMs,
Internet cafes, restaurants, bakeries, etc. You can also even enjoy
colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. You can visit Visitor
Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where you
can observe an assortment of things allied to the first Everest
ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various flora and fauna of
the Sagarmatha National Park. You can also take an interesting side
trip up to Khumjung, Syangboche airstrip and Everest View Hotel, a
Japanese build deluxe hotel which offers you great views of Mt. Everest,
Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and others. Surrounded by the snowy peaks of
Kongde and Thamserku and the scared peak Khumbila, Khumjung hosts a
well known monastery that houses a yeti scalp. You can also visit to
Hillary School which is in the same locatio. Overnight at Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 06: Trek to Dole (4200m) 5 Hrs.
The
trails easy in the begging up to Kyangjuma & climb steeply out of
the valley through rhododendron forests, which give way to fragrant
stands of juniper and large conifers as the elevation increases. This
trek is especially beautiful in spring when the rhododendrons are
blooming. The trails pass many Kharkas, summer settlements used when
Sherpas bring herds of yaks to graze in these high pastures. The route
passes through the settlement s of Tongba (3950m) and Gyele (3960m) to
Dole where there’re few hotels. The views of Khumbila and Tawache
(6542m) are incredible throughout the day!! Overnight at Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 07: Trek to Machhermo (4400m) 5 Hrs.
Trail
climbs to Lambara at (4220m) and Luza at (4360m). The tails is steep in
most places as it climbs through brush junipers. There’re Kharkas
whenever there is a flat spot and the slightest hint of water. The
trails continue to climb along the side of the valley, high above the
river, crossing sandy spurs to Machhermo at (4410m). Here was in
Machhermo in 1974 that Yeti killed three yaks and attached a Sherpa
woman. This is the most credit yeti incident ever reported. Overnight at

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4700m) 4 Hrs.
We
climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kantega
and up towards Cho-Oyu (8201m). Beyond the ridge the valley widens as
the trail passes through Pangka at (4390m) then descends to the
riverbank before beginning of climb on to the terminal moraine of the
Ngozumpa Glacier. It’s a steep climb up the moraine, switch backing
alongside the stream to the first small Lake at (4650m), where a family
of green Brainy ducks resides. The trail now becomes almost level at
(4690m). Overnight at Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 09: Hike to Gokyo RI (5360m) 4 Hrs.
Early
wake up and climb up to the Gokyo-Ri, for panoramic view of Mahalangur
Himalayan range, it takes approximately 2hrs climb to the top of the
peak, providing a panoramic view of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest,
Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawache & a great looking of Ngozumpa
glacier a largest glacier in Nepal. Then decent to Gokyo and relax with
your Lunch & hot tea. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D
Day 10: Gokyo Lake to Dragnak (4760m) 3 Hrs.
This
is a short trek to foot of the Cho-La pass; the trail leads you toward
second lake & cross over Ngozumpa glacier. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 11: Trek to Dzongla (4830m) via Chola pass (5360m) 7 Hrs.
This
is the big day of your trip!! Before crossing the Chola pass about
three hundred meters is very hard!! You cannot imagine where to go
especially if you are trekking of yourself. About 5 o’clock will be
ready your breakfast then the trail leads gradually uphill until 5000m.
This is a great view point of Chola pass & several peaks, then trail
will descending to the Chola pass base camp 4800m. From here you will
find very hard due to rocks, be careful with rocks…. Keep the trail
continue after couple of hours from here you will be on the top of Chola
pass. Then trek decent all the way to Dzongla. Overnight at Guest

Day 12: Dzongla to Labuche (4910m) 3 Hrs.
It
is an easy day walking to Lobule; trek continues along the moraine of
the glacier, with views of Kalapattar and Pumori, before reaching
Lobuche. Overnight at Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 13: Labuche to Gorakshep (5180m) 3 Hrs.
After
a short climb through meadows, look down on the Khumbu Glacier.
Straight-ahead is Kalapattar – the best vantage point to view the entire
south face of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks. Trek to Gorakshep
and prepare for tomorrow’s Everest Base Camp Expedition 5400 meters.

Day 14: Hiking to Everest base camp (5400m) & bck to Gorakshep (5180m) 7 Hrs.
About
9 o’clock starts your Everest Base camp expedition though on the rocky
trail. It is not much elevation different but there is lots of up &
down it makes your body very tiring but do not harass, this is your
dream since you were very young. Approximately after 3 hrs of hiking you
will have been Everest Base Camp 5400m. Enjoy the view of Khumbu
glacier & Khumbu icefall where the Everest Expedition starts. And
trek back to Gorakshep. Overnight at Guest House.(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 15: Hike to Kalapattar (5545m.) & trek down to Pheriche (4210m) 7 Hrs.
About
5 o’clock in the morning, the day starts with a hike up to Kalapatthar
(5545 mtrs.), an excellent viewpoint to observe the Mount. Everest and
innumerable spectacular mountains views. Then trek back to Gorakshep for
hot breakfast & trek descend to Pheriche (4210m). Overnight at
Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 16: Trek to Khumjung (3900) 5 Hrs.Overnight at Guest House. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

your Gokyo Cho-La Pass Everest Base camp Trek trip comes to an end. If
